Les \u00e9tudes ant\u00e9rieures ont montr\u00e9 qu\u2019ils sont effectifs \u00e0 partir de l\u2019\u00e2ge de 7 ans (Oftinger &amp; Camos, 2016 ; 2018). Des travaux men\u00e9s chez de jeunes adultes ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que l\u2019utilisation efficace de ces m\u00e9canismes emp\u00eache l\u2019apparition de FS \u00e0 court-terme (Abadie &amp; Camos, 2019). Ainsi nous nous attendons \u00e0 ce que l\u2019utilisation des m\u00e9canismes de maintien en MT par des enfants de plus de 7 ans diminue leur taux de FS dans des t\u00e2ches de m\u00e9moire \u00e0 court-terme en comparaison \u00e0 une condition dans laquelle, ils ne pourraient pas les utiliser. A l\u2019inverse, chez les enfants en dessous de 5 ans qui n\u2019utilisent pas spontan\u00e9ment les m\u00e9canismes de maintien, le taux de faux souvenirs ne devrait pas \u00eatre impact\u00e9 par la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019utilisation de ces m\u00e9canismes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Par ailleurs, les \u00e9tudes pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes ont montr\u00e9 que plus les connaissances en MLT se d\u00e9veloppent avec l\u2019\u00e2ge, plus les enfants sont susceptibles de faire des FS dans des t\u00e2ches de m\u00e9moire \u00e0 long-terme (Brainerd, Reyna &amp; Forrest, 2002 ; Brainerd, Reyna &amp; Zember, 2011). Nos \u00e9tudes sont les premi\u00e8res \u00e0 examiner les interactions entre le d\u00e9veloppement du maintien en MT et des connaissances en MLT sur l\u2019apparition de FS \u00e0  long-terme. Des r\u00e9sultats chez les jeunes adultes (Abadie &amp; Camos, 2019) sugg\u00e8rent qu\u2019un m\u00e9canisme de maintien attentionnel en MT favoriserait l\u2019apparition de FS \u00e0 long-terme. Ainsi nous nous attendons \u00e0 observer plus de FS \u00e0 long-terme chez les enfants de plus de 7 ans dans des situations o\u00f9 ils peuvent utiliser les strat\u00e9gies de maintien en MT que chez les enfants plus jeunes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><u><strong>Protocole et \u00e9thique<\/strong><\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Children between the ages of 4 and 9 y.o will be offered short-period activities involving WM and LTM. These playful activities will be presented on a computer. They can be compared to classroom activities. For a same study, they will be similar between children of different ages. Only the number of items to be processed will vary in order to adjust the difficulty level to the different age groups. A set of pictures or spoken words will be presented to the children. Each set will contain items related to each other and to a theme known to the children (e.g. the circus, the farm \u2026). The material used will not generate negative emotions. The images will mostly come from databases created by experimental psychologists. &nbsp;Children will have to learn the presented items in order to remember them a few seconds later. This type of tasks will be used in in the different studies. Instructions, presence or absence of a concurrent task, semantic relationship between items, the way the items are presented, and retention time will vary across studies. The concurrent task will also vary to either prevent or allow the use of WM maintenance mechanisms in different ways (e.g. identifying the color of smileys on the screen, repeating a syllable\u2026). The use of WM maintenance mechanisms and access to semantic information in LTM will be favored in some tasks and be prevented in others. Sch\u00e9ma g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la proc\u00e9dure exp\u00e9rimentale<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous ferons attention \u00e0 ce qu\u2019aucune des t\u00e2ches propos\u00e9es ne puisse susciter un sentiment d\u2019\u00e9chec chez l\u2019enfant. La passation durera en moyenne 20 \u00e0 30 min, incluant un temps de familiarisation, un temps d\u2019entrainement et le temps de l\u2019activit\u00e9. Les r\u00e9ponses de chaque enfant seront fid\u00e8lement enregistr\u00e9es par l\u2019exp\u00e9rimentateur sur un ordinateur du laboratoire d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la passation d\u2019exp\u00e9riences appartenant au principal investigateur. Les donn\u00e9es r\u00e9colt\u00e9es seront anonymis\u00e9es. Les enfants recevront un dipl\u00f4me de \u00ab petit scientifique \u00bb \u00e0 la fin de la passation en guise de remerciement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><u><strong>Applications<\/strong><\/u><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>A terme, ce projet enrichira les connaissances \u00e0 propos des apprentissages chez l\u2019enfant.
